Beef Stroganoff

A classic that goes over well with my family. I serve mushrooms on the side because, well, kids... haha! So cook those up separately or you can cook them first and set aside to add back in. My kids love a pasta dish with protein so this is a crowd pleaser and quick!

Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1 14.5 oz can beef broth

  • 2 spoonfuls of beef base

  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • grated parmesan cheese

  • cooked egg noodles 12 oz. bag

Directions

Brown your hamburger then stir in flour and cook for a couple minutes. Pour in beef broth and stir in a spoonfuls of beef base. Let simmer until it thickens. Then add seasonings and sour cream. If your sauce is too thick, thin with pasta water. Stir in egg noodles and serve topped with parmesan cheese (optional). Enjoy!

**this is made without mushrooms because only half my family likes them... so I often cook them on the side for whoever wants them. I usually cook them in a mix of half butter, half olive oil. Season with garlic salt, pepper and a dash of soy sauce.
